Gus Macker is once again coming to Newaygo County on July 19th and 20th. This year it will be held in White Cloud and Grant Athletics is looking for volunteers to help out. We need as many volunteers as we can get, primarily to help keep score at the courts. You can sign up with a friend and if you have family or friends playing at a specific court you can request to keep score on that court so you don't miss them playing. Our time slot is Saturday, July 19th from 11am - 2pm. The link to register is below and if you have any questions please contact Grant HS Athletic Director, Kirk Rider.

Last week the Tiger basketball program joined forces with Kuyper College and hosted a 3 day skills camp. Throughout those 3 days the kids took part in drills that focused on defensive positioning, off the ball communication, help side defense, shooting, dribbling, passing, using screens and moving without the ball. They were also able to put these skills into action with some scrimmages. Thank you to Coach Bailey and his Kuyper College crew for coming in to work with our kids.

He will also welcome anyone who would like to drop in on days they can make it at $10 per day. Days and times are as follows: Monday 1:00pm-2:30, Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am-12:30. As a 9th Grade Social Studies Teacher, her role is to "guide students through an engaging exploration of history, civics, and the world around them. By creating a classroom environment rooted in mutual respect, I aim to foster a love for learning while helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills. The focus is on not only mastering key concepts but also on building strong, positive relationships where students feel valued, heard, and supported in their educational journey. Through open communication and collaborative activities, I work to ensure that each student’s voice is important as they explore and connect with the material."
