JV baseball at Home is canceled.
Varsity baseball and softball at Kenowa Hills is canceled.
Soccer at Kenowa Hills is still on.
Here is a look at what we have going on in Tiger Athletics this week.
The girls tennis team got the season started Saturday indoors at Hope College. The Tigers battled Zeeland East, Hamilton and Reeths Puffer. Many points and games were won by all 8 flights, including 4 players that played their very first HS tennis match. One Doubles went 3 sets in their middle match of the day. Sophomore Tyra Zerlaut got a win at #2 singles over her Puffer senior opponent, 4-2 5-4. Juniors Madisyn Campbell and Violet Rybski also beat RP 4-1 4-0. The ladies play at Comstock Park Friday, March 27th vs Ionia and CP at 2 and 4 pm, weather permitting!!!

Both JV and Varsity baseball games vs. Fremont are canceled today due to field conditions.
We have had to make some changes already with our athletic schedules due to this amazing Spring weather.
Thursday - Varsity Girls Soccer will now be played AT Oakridge with a 4:30 start
Friday - Varsity Baseball is going to Fremont for a DH with a 4:15 start and JV will be playing a home DH vs Fremont with a 4:15 start
Monday - Varsity Baseball and Softball will be going to Kenowa Hills for a 4:15 single game and JV baseball will be playing home vs Kenowa, a single game with a 4:15 start.

Hard to believe but this week we begin Spring Sports games. All of our Spring schedules are posted on our Athletics page and can be found on the school web site. Monday, March 9th marks the official start date for Spring Sports. Coaches have had pre-season meetings and have been posting information regarding practice and try-out times and locations.
It is important that ALL athletes have their Final Forms up-to-date. There needs to be 3 completed items (which will show them marked as GREEN); Parent signatures, athlete signatures, and most importantly a physical on file. If you have any questions regarding this please reach our to the Athletic Office and we will be glad to help.

I want to say thank you to our students, the entire Grant Tiger community, surrounding schools, and our alumni for the incredible support throughout this basketball season.
Our players continue talking about the size of the crowds and the electric atmosphere they experienced all season long—especially during district and regional play. Your energy, encouragement, and pride in Tiger basketball made a real difference for our team and created memories these players will carry with them for a long time.
We’re grateful to represent a community that shows up the way you do. Thank you for being part of a special season and for standing behind our players every step of the way.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words - this one speaks loudly! For those that were not able to attend the game last night, this is just our student section. Every seat in the house was taken, standing room only and by far the majority of the people there were pulling for the Tigers.
Now lets do the same thing and show up tonight for our girls team as they play Sparta (in Sparta) at 7pm for their chance to win a District Championship!

Update - Result of Bout #123 - Antonio lost 14-4 to William Lawson of Yale. This puts an end to Antonios' stellar sophomore season. Congratulations Antonio and now its time to get back to work and prepare for next season.

Its Championship Friday! Come on out tonight, find your best ORANGE outfit and cheer on our girls as they play for a District Championship. Game time is at 7pm in Sparta vs Sparta.
HS students - we again have a Fan Bus set to go, thanks to Lisa Lightfoot Coldwell Banker Schmidt Fremont for sponsoring it. Those that ride it will get in free to the game so make sure to sign up on the google form. The bus is leaving at 6pm.
Let's get out and cheer on our Lady Tigers - how awesome would it be for our boys and girls teams to both capture a District Championship Trophy in the same year!
