Be a part of a University of Michigan study and share how school cellphone policies affect you. In separate focus
groups for students and parents, you’re invited to talk about your experiences and perspectives on rules for
cellphones in schools.
Who can take part?
Student focus group: 13-18 years old and
attending a public school in Michigan

Parent focus group: Parent or guardian of a
student ages 13-18 attending a public
school in Michigan (traditional or charter)
How does this work?

🐾 Meet Beasley, Grant Early Elementary’s amazing facility dog! 🐾
We are so grateful for the incredible impact Beasley has already made in our school and in the lives of our students. 💙
A huge thank you to @Newaygo Public Schools for hosting us to celebrate, and to @Maranda from WOOD TV for coming out to showcase Beasley and the wonderful work happening at Grant Early Elementary!
We also want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to @Priority Health, @Corewell Health, and the @Gerber Foundation for funding our school dog, and to @Canines for Change for providing Beasley’s training. We are so grateful for your support!
Beasley has quickly become a special part of our school family. She helps greet students each morning, giving them an extra reason to smile and get excited about coming through our doors. 🐶❤️
She also helps motivate students to remain in their general education classrooms by earning breaks to spend time playing with Beasley. When students need a little extra support, Beasley visits them in the nurse’s station and Ready Room, where her calming presence helps students re-regulate and get ready to return to learning.
Beasley may have four paws, but she is making a BIG difference in our school! 🐾💙
We are so thankful for everyone who helped bring Beasley to Grant Early Elementary and for all the ways she supports our students each and every day!
