On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Grant Public Schools voters will consider a non-homestead operating millage renewal. This proposal would renew an existing operating millage that is set to expire with the 2026 tax levy.
Key Things to Know:
This is a renewal, not a new tax.
The proposal is for four years, from 2027 through 2030.
The millage does not apply to a homeowner’s primary residence.
It applies only to non-homestead properties, such as commercial properties, industrial properties, rental/income properties, second homes, and some vacant land.
Operating millage funds support day-to-day school operations, including staffing, classroom materials, student supports, transportation, utilities, and maintaining safe, functional learning environments.
