Issue 19

The Primary Center needs donations of gently used children’s pants and underwear (boy and girl) sizes 6, 7 and 8. All donations are used to help when children have “accidents” at school. We are completely out of pants in these sizes.
If your student wants to wear flip flops to school you may want to send gym shoes with socks for recess time. We have had many flip flops break. Also, our playground is covered in wood chips. Students wearing flip flops often get slivers from these.
When your child is ill please call the Primary Center office at 834-7382. If you call outside of business hours our voicemail system will allow you to leave a message. Children must be fever free for 24 hour before returning to school.
Children may not be dropped off earlier than 7:45. Prior to that time there is no supervision. Children may enter the building for breakfast at 7:45. Those children not eating breakfast at school may enter the building at 8:05. Attendance is taken at 8:15. J
If your emergency contact information has changed (for example—your cell phone number) please let us know. It is important that we have current information. Many of the parents we try to call have out of date information.
Teacher requests for Kindergarten and Young 5s are due May 15th.
If possible please avoid picking your student up early. School ends at 3:20. Instruction takes place up until the end of the school day. Your help is appreciated!
Reminder—the last day of school will be June 5th. This will be a full day for students 1st - 12th. Kindergarten students will attend their usual ½ day. This change is due to the number of “snow” days we had during the winter.
Please check your student’s weekly notes from their teacher for information regarding special activities such as field days and field trips.
