GMS Receives "Schools to Watch" Designation
For the last four years, the students, teachers, and administration of Grant Middle School have worked toward the goals of improving academic achievement, by meeting more students’ needs and building stronger community relationships.
On, December 11, GMS was visited by the Schools to Watch representatives to witness the positive things happening at GMS.
On December 20, Principal Lance Jones had the privilege of sharing with his team that we had been selected to become a Schools to Watch school. Grant Middle School is very proud of the commitments we make to our school and community. We look forward to hosting visitors from other schools to share our dedication to improvement and growth in the hopes that we can inspire others to do the same.
Schools to Watch is an initiative by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. It identifies high performing schools meeting three criteria; academically excellent, developmentally responsive, and socially equitable. Find out more information at www.MiddleGradesForum.org
