The Grant Public Schools Board of Education contracts with NEOLA, a company that monitors both state and federal law changes as they relate to public schools in the state of Michigan. When there are changes in legislation, NEOLA updates our school policies, which are then supplied to the Board of Education for their review at least two times a year. Upon receipt, these policies are first reviewed by the Policy Committee of the Board of Education. After their review, the policies are then presented to the board as a whole for first reading consideration. Then, generally at the next meeting of the Board of Education, these policies are presented for final approval. During this process, any questions regarding the policies are addressed by the board.
