Our Goal: A Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body

Daily Requirements:

     1.  Students should bring tennis shoes to wear in PE. (may be what the student wore to school)
    2.  Girls should wear appropriate clothing (no dresses or skirts)
        **After 2 free reminders, a student's grade will drop 10% each time they aren't properly prepared for class.

    3.  Excuses

    To be excused from participating in PE class for the day, you must bring a note from your parent or guardian explaining why this is necessary. To be excused from participating for more than two consecutive days, a doctor’s note is needed explaining the reason for your child's inability to participate in class.  Please have your doctor inform us of your child’s limitations and when regular activity may be resumed. 
    Students will be asked to do written work during the time they are excused by a doctor
    Please feel free to call and let us know about your child’s medical condition.  It is very important that we know of any medical problems your child may have. (bee sting allergies, asthma, recent broken bones, surgeries, or other medical problems you feel we should know about)  Please let us know if necessary on the lines below.

4.  Attendance and exercises are both done in squads.

5. Classroom rules

         No gum or candy in PE classes   No swearing or fighting    No horseplay        Report to squad after warm-up
         No food, pop, or glass containers in the gym

6. Grades are based on the following:
    Students earn points each day using a grading chart similar to the one below earning 4 points a day for effort/participation, 3 points a day for
    running, and 3 points a day for following directions.    10 points possible per day.  Each "/" subtracts 1 point.
    Scores for written work, quizzes and tests will also be included in a student's grade.  Being unprepared for class can also lower their grade.
