10/23/07:
The marching band is very close to
making state finals! This weekend, we will be competing at
Reeths-Puffer High School. For us to qualify for state, we need
to beat or come close to Comstock Park HS. They have a great
show - which means we have to have an even better show! If we do
not beat them, we have to wait for the scores from the east side
of the state to come for us to know. We will notify everyone by
this website, mass e-mail and possibly phone calls home. Come
out and support the marching band as we go for our goal of
making it to the MCBA State finals!
10/14/07:
We apologize for the lack of
updates to the website. Many things have happened in the past
couple months. The marching band has competed in two
competitions - Allegan (7th - 53.05 - MCBA) and Grandville (5th
- 80.3 - Scholastic). So far the season has gone well. I want to
thank the parent volunteers that have made this season
successful so far. We could not do this without you! The
marching band will be traveling to Jenison this coming weekend
and will perform at 6:45 PM. We have two more competitions to
qualify for state finals at Ford Field. We are looking to finish
the season strong - let's keep pushing towards the goal!

7/20/07:
The show is almost done and
pre-camp will start on Monday July 23rd! Please make sure that
you have your music in your binder, wear good tennis shoes and
be ready to work. We have a great show this year and we have
high expectations to go all the way to Ford Field...are you
ready??
On another note, we have a new
sponsor of the band. Lakeshore Office Furniture has donated a
desk to the Grant Band program for the band office at the high
school. We would like to thank them for their generous
contribution to the Grant Band Program!
Finally, Mr. Mosley and Mr.
Buikema are looking for band parents to sponsor the props this
year. If you are interested in donating money to the band to get
your name on the store fronts of the props, please contact one
of the directors through e-mail or see us well before or after
rehearsals. For example: if I donated $100 to the band, I would
want to General Store to read: Buikema's General Store. Make
sense? If you have any questions let us know!
