LUNCH PRICES

Our yearly financial goal is to break-even and be able to maintain a self-supporting status. We have to keep up with yearly increases in salaries and benefits, equipment replacement needs for school cafeterias and rising utility, paper and food costs. Any surplus funds at the end of the school year go back into the program to help us keep costs down and meet future needs.

Our lunch is a good value for your money. A School Lunch will get you: Hot sandwich or entree, roll, three (3) fruits and/or vegetable sides, and 8 ounces of milk for only $2.00 ($1.75 at Elementary and Primary Center) and no tax.  Breakfast is $1.25.  That's hard to beat!

PREPAID MEALS

Our lunch program is now  automated.  Students may prepay for meals and ala carte items, and you can actually save money doing it.  Each student has an account in which money can be deposited by you for lunch and food items.  The student has an identification card that is scanned in the cafeteria.  It automatically deducts the proper amount from the child's account each time it is used.  No more worries about lunch money each day and handling change.  In addition, it also informs cashiers about food allergies or other dietary warnings.  It can also alert us to the foods you want to purchase or restrict from your child's lunch. Contact your school  prepaid meals and other options, or call us at School Food Service, 834-5888. Thanks for your support!

FREE & REDUCED LUNCH

All free and reduced applications will be handled in the School Food Service office to better serve you. Please call Mrs. Pascoe between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at 834-5888 if you have questions.

NONDISCRIMINATION

Children who receive free or reduced price meals are treated the same as those who pay for meals. No child will be discriminated against in the operation of child feeding programs because of race, sex, color, national origin or handicap.

"All meals served must meet patterns established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, if a child has been determined by a doctor to be handicapped and the handicap would prevent the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make substitutions prescribed by the doctor. If a substitution is needed, there will be no extra charge for the meal."   If you have a doctor's order requiring a food substitution because of a handicap, please get in touch with us for further information.
